Without Class 3 License

The Forklift Operator Refresher Training is a program designed for individuals engaged in forklift operations. It aims to refresh and enhance their knowledge and skills, ensuring safe and effective use of forklifts in various industries, including warehousing and construction.

Theory Training

1. Relevant Workplace Safety &Health (WSH) Legislations / Singapore Standards SS573, applicable to forklift operation
a. Explain the relevancy of the stipulated legal requirement/s on Forklift Operators
b. Emphasize the penalty for non-compliance (reference recent forklift accident cases, where available).
2. Refresh on the correct interpretation of the Load Chart
a. Refresh on the correct and accurate reading of the Load Charts.
b. Highlights the common mistakes made by operators (reference recent forklift accidents, where available).
c. Highlight operator reading errors that could potentially lead to accidents 
3. Forklift Stability
a. Highlight factors affecting the stability of forklift operations.
b. Highlight the common causes for “instability” forklift operations 
4. Pre-Ops & Post Ops Checks on a Forklift Machine
a. Highlight the key features/items for inspection.
b. Discuss reason/s for operators failing to carry out the inspection/s that could lead to serious accidents 
5. Techniques and requirements for safe operations
a. Refresh on the technique/s and requirement/s for safe forklift operation. 
6. Highlight the common safety lapses by forklift operators and the consequences.
a. Provide case examples 
7. Safety Rules (Do’s and Don’ts)
a. Explanation on the Do’s and Don’ts for forklift operations.
b. Highlight consequences for failing to observe the safety rules.
