Course Overview

The “Work at Height Rescue Course” provides an in-depth exploration of advanced techniques and best practices for safety professionals involved in Work at Height rescue operations.

This comprehensive program equips participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to ensure safety during Work at Height rescue operations, Upon successful completion of the “Work at Height Rescue Course” participants will gain a comprehensive understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements related to work at height, enabling them to perform rescue operations in full compliance with the WAH Regulations.

Participant will possess the knowledge and skills necessary to provide critical assistance and support during emergencies in elevated environments, ensuring the safety and well-being of personnel.

Equipped with expertise, skills, and confidence, safety professionals will excel in work at height rescue scenarios, safeguarding personnel and proactively addressing safety challenges within their organizations.

  • Legal & Other Requirement as per WSH (Work at Height) Regulations 2013 and Singapore Standard – Code of practice for working safely at height.
  • Rescue Equipment for WAH
  • Personal Protective Equipment for Rescuer
  • Structure of Rescue Team Members and Roles & Responsibilities
  • Key Components of Rescue Plan & Type of WAH Rescue and Rescue Procedures
  • Handson Practical Training and written assessment
  • Debrief

Requirements to be a trainer and assessor for this course

  • Domain qualification: The trainer/assessor must be a domain subject matter expert, possess a WSQ-Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety & Health (WSH Professional Level B)
  • Domain work experience: The trainer/assessor must possess a minimum of five years’ relevant experience in subject matter.
  • WSQ trainer/assessor pedagogic requirement: The trainer/assessor must have attained a WSQ Advanced Certificate in Training & Assessment (ACTA) or Advanced Certificate in Learning and Performance (ACLP) or Diploma in Adult Continuing Education (DACE) or Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP).
  • WSQ trainer/assessor experience: The trainer/assessor should preferably possess a minimum of one year of training experience.
  • All adult educators are required to attain 10 hours (minimum) annually by attending Continuing Professional and Development (CPD) courses conducted by appointed training providers.
  • The trainer for the course is not permitted to be the assessor for the same course learners during the assessment.
