Responsibilities:
- Oversee and lead the site safety team and subcontractors in the implementation of the company's safety systems.
- Liaise closely with site operations staff and project manager on all safety and health issues.
- To supervise safety and promote safe conduct.
- To inspect and rectify any unsafe place of work.
- To correct any unsafe practice.
- Conduct regular safety inspections/audits to identify safety and health hazards and conduct a safety gap analysis.
- Inspection of site to ensure all facilities and equipment relevant to the maintenance are in proper working condition and do not pose any hazard.
- Attend any government agencies, insurance companies, auditors etc.
- Implementation of effective safety management system, preventive measures as well as risk assessment to minimize accidents at the assigned workplace/site.
- Implementation of workplace safety, health and environment programs and initiatives
- Compile all safety records and reports and ensure proper documentation of site records for all safety related matters.
- Enforcement of safety standards in accordance with the Workplace Safety and Health Act
- Ensure strict compliance of procedures in statutory workplace, safety, health & environment requirements at sites and required premises.
- Preparation and/or submission of safety reports and necessary audits
- Assist the company in safety related certifications and awareness such as safety audits, meetings, andexecution of safety programs.
- Assist in accident reporting and investigations as well as toolbox meetings.
- Assist in all areas of safety planning and incident prevention.
- Assist in ISO OHSAS 45001 and ISO 14001 audits.
- Any other ad hoc duties assigned from time to time.
- Any other duties as stipulated in the WSH Act.
Job Requirements:
- Safety related diploma or degree or Nitec.
- Possess good communication skills.
- Able to work across all departments and functions.
- Knowledge of the construction/facilities industry activities.
- Registered as a Workplace Safety& Health Officer (WSHO) with the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) for at least 2years. Candidates with ECO & ECMO license will have an added advantage.
- Candidates with FSM or SFSM certification will have an added advantage.
- Knowledge of ISO related documentation and audits.
- Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills, and a “can-do” attitude.
- Willing work in the east side of Singapore
